Being Striking At Impact

Hey Sparkly Divas,

I have been a jumpsuit fanatic this year! I absolutely love golfing in my one-piece jumpsuits. Today, I am wearing a white and grey sporty compression suit; it was originally made for the gym, but since golf is a sport we can be creative and enjoy fitness-fashion on the course!

My  jumpsuit is form fitting and moves with me throughout my golf swing. I paired the ensemble with my favorite pair of patent silver and grey “Seema Style” FootJoys and my most favorite golf accessory yet, my sparkly pink and silver “Seema Style” golf bag!

Today I am working on making a solid impact which is the most important part of your golf swing. Where your club face is and how your body moves through your impact position will dictate how the ball will launch and where the ball will go!

Here are 3 “Seema Style” Tips that will help you with your impact:

1. Stay Down – Most amateurs share the same tendencies where they lift up throughout the impact position. We all get anxious to see where our ball is going. Staying down is one of the most important fundamentals to create a better impact. Staying down requires trusting your swing swing and committing to your shot! When making your transition to your down swing, try keeping your chest down through the ball and listen for the noise your club face makes at impact before looking for it.

2. Strong Core – It’s Important to understand that your core muscles are guiding your swing. Your core is what stabilizes your body throughout your entire golf swing. Strengthening your core will help provide a more consistent and strong impact position. Tighten your core, and tighten your impact!

3. Good Extension – Having a good extension at impact and in your follow through is a must. Good extension means to have strong forearms and width through the golf ball.  Good extension throughout the ball will allow your club to travel on a wide swing plane and creates a solid contact.
