Earlier this week, I had the honor of co-hosting the Coach Woodson Las Vegas Invitational along side ESPN star Jay Harris and R&B Star Brian McKnight!
The event was so much fun and we can’t thank Coach Michael Woodson for making this event possible~For those of you who haven’t heard the news, The #CWLVI was capped with an incredible hole-in-one from Jay Harris!
Jay not only had his first hole-in-one but did it in style, winning a 2014 Land Rover from Land Rover Las Vegas!
Let’s catch up with Jay and get all the fun details about his special day…
SEEMA STYLE: How was it co-hosting the Coach Woodson Las Vegas Invitational?
JAY HARRIS: I really enjoyed co-hosting the CWLVI. It was a blast sharing the stage with you, Coach Woodson and Brian McKnight.
SEEMA STYLE: How was it having your first hole in one? What did you feel?
JAY HARRIS: I’m not sure how it was having my first hole in one. It still feels surreal. I mean, I know it happened because I hit the ball, and I pulled it out of the cup. I’m not sure I believed it until I saw the picture I took!
SEEMA STYLE: Who did you play with it and how excited was your group?
JAY HARRIS: I played with a great group of guys. Doug Yarris from Hope & Grace Wines and his son Travis, and Oscar and Jeremy from VYBX, the official energy band of CWLVI! They were both great sponsors and supporters of the event and I couldn’t have asked for a better pairing! We also had a great caddie Josh, we laughed and cracked jokes all day, and played pretty decent golf too.

SEEMA STYLE: Tell me about the hole? The course? What did you hit?
JAY HARRIS: It was 190 yard par 3 and I used my 6 iron. The course was the gorgeous Southern Highlands, the host course of #CWLVI. It is a tough hole over water, I went right at the pin.
SEEMA STYLE: You got new custom clubs from PING! Obviously things went well! Tell me about your new clubs and why you are a PING fan.
JAY HARRIS: I love my new Ping G25’s. I played a rental set in Miami earlier this summer, and they just felt right. So I had to get a set of my own… and one hole in one later, I’m glad I did!
SEEMA STYLE: Where will be the first place you will drive your new Range Rover to?
JAY HARRIS: Hmmmm, not sure where I will first drive the car. But wherever it is, you have an open invitation to ride with me!
SEEMA STYLE: Awe, you’re the bestest! Let’s go to Land Rover and get matching Range Rovers:) Wouldn’t that be cool?!It was so great celebrating Jay’s first Hole-In-One after the tournament! We hung out at the course for a long time after the tournament and just enjoyed the atmosphere and laughed about the whole Coach Woodson Invitational weekend.
