Shop with a Cop! Tis’ the season to surround ourselves with our loved ones, family and friends to celebrate the holidays!
For Quinnipiac Assistant Coach, former NBA Star and my bestie Scott Burrell, his mission on December 18th was to spend the day with kids for The Reach Foundation’s “Shop with a Cop” event in New Haven, CT.
The event helps underprivileged kids in the area receive gifts and support from their community. The goal is to provide guidance for young kids through the holiday from local leaders and learn how to communicate with the police. Such a great mission and idea to get kids into the holiday spirit! The kids shopped with a cop and bought toys and presents for their family.
“I hope that this event makes a positive difference in kids’ lives. I have had the opportunity to work with The REACH Foundation numerous times in the past. It is nice to be invited to participate in ‘Shop with a Cop’ and make a difference in the community.”
The REACH Foundation is very close to my heart. Scott and I participate in their golf event at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut which is hosted by Ahmad Rashad. They do such an amazing job in making sure they “REACH” out to touch young children and positively help their lives physically, socially and financially. Their motto say’s it all “If in only one life, make a difference.”
