Getting Your “L” On!

Seema_Purple_L_PositionToday I was working on my swing at the Butch Harmon School of Golf in Henderson, Nevada at The Rio Secco Golf Club.  My coach Vic Wilk and I are continuing to strengthen my back swing by getting me in a stronger “L” position.

You are probably wondering… “What is the “L” position?”

The “L” position is a 90 degree angle that your arms and your club should create on the way back.  The better your “L” position, the more power and speed you create with your arms and body.

To get to the “L” position, you need to have good width with your arms, good  wrist hinge and a powerful shoulder turn.  Take a look at my YES and NO picture, you can see a strong “L” position versus a weak “L” position.  The strong position looks and feels more powerful than the weak.Seema_Vic_Range

To practice the “L” position, you don’t need to hit balls.  Use the mirror and a 7 or 8 iron to see and feel your arms, wrists and left shoulder staying strong while taking the club away.

PS: Today was “Purple Tuesday”, so cute and fun today at practice!

“L”ove You! 😉 Seema

  2. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.

I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit,
but other than that, this is excellent blog.
An excellent read. I’ll certainly be back.

  4. Hi there! I just noticed your website: Getting Your L On!
    | SEEMA STYLE when I was browsing reddit.
com. It looks as though someone appreciated your site so much
they decided to bookmark it. I’ll definitely be returning here more often.

  5. This design is wicked! You obviously know how to keep a reader entertained.
Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost.

..HaHa!) Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and
more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

  6. Good day! This is kind of off topic but I need
some advice from an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog?

I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about creating my own but
I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Many thanks
